Brenna Mesner

Brenna holds a Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary and is a Registered School Psychologist. Her clinical experience spans a wide range of educational and community settings, both across Canada and internationally. She has experience completing psychoeducational assessments in both public and private settings and has supported children and families across all stages of schooling.

Brenna approaches assessment as an opportunity to understand a child’s unique profile and translate those findings into clear, accessible information for the families and teams who love and support that child. She brings warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for families to every interaction. Having worked across several provinces and internationally, she is attuned to the many ways that culture, community, and relationship to place shape how families experience support systems. Brenna works to approach every assessment with humility and a genuine interest in the unique context each child and family brings.

Alongside her clinical work, Brenna has contributed to peer-reviewed research on school-based mental health supports, with publications in the Review of Research in Education and the International Journal of Education Policy and Leadership.

Outside of her professional life, Brenna spends her time travelling, getting outside, finding humour in everyday moments, and connecting with friends and family.

Brenna practices under the supervision of a North Star Psychologist.
