Courtney McCabe

Courtney is in the very final stages of completing her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology. She has experience supporting a wide array of clients across the developmental lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults, in diverse clinical settings, including community mental health, school systems, primary care, and private practice. Her work has included providing psychoeducational, psychodiagnostic, ADHD, and neuropsychological assessments, as well as individual therapy. Courtney takes a warm, strengths-based approach grounded in cultural humility, ensuring that each person’s unique personality, background, and lived experiences are understood and valued. She views every assessment as an opportunity to better understand a child’s learning profile, strengths, and areas where support is needed. Her goal is to provide clear, practical, and research-informed recommendations so children can thrive at home, school, and in their communities. Her approach to assessments is shaped by the belief that individuals are both influenced by and influence their internal experiences and external environments – much like the ocean interacts with and is transformed by its shores, weather patterns, and ecosystems. She considers it a privilege to partner with families and welcomes the opportunity to support your child’s success. Courtney is supervised in her practice by one of the North Star’s psychologists.
