Veronica Shim is a mom in the midst of navigating the “terrific twos” with her fun-loving and enthusiastic toddler! She is pursuing her doctorate in the School and Applied Child Psychology program at the University of British Columbia, and is thrilled to be part of the The North Star family. Professionally, she has supported families as a school psychologist in British Columbia for over a decade and has extensive experience with psychoeducational assessments. Veronica approaches assessment with care and humility and feels privileged to champion parents so that they are in the best position to advocate for their children. Past clients describe Veronica as someone who is warm, gentle, empathic, collaborative, and understanding. Special areas of interest include early childhood development, attachment-based therapy, and parenting.
Veronica is supervised in their practice by one of the registered psychologists on our team as listed in the consent form for the assessment service.
